Nathan Perrott

My name is Nathan Perrott from Owen Sound. I really enjoy ATVing, camping, and hiking. I have 3 boys who all play hockey. My oldest plays for the Owen Sound Attack. I played Pro hockey 13 seasons and in the NHL for 4. I spent 2 seasons in Russia. Now, I am a firefighter at Bruce Power. I have been at Bruce Power for 8.5 years and make my home in Bruce County, which I’m originally from (Teeswater).

Why I Ride

I have Osteoarthritis in my knee and need it replaced at some point. Cycling helps me keep my knee joint strong and doesn’t cause me pain to train. I compete in the Firefit championship

and have to train hard to be competitive, cycling is a great way to do this. As a hockey player we rode the bike all the time, so it’s been a big part of my training for years. I have never

competed in a race before. I’m looking forward to the challenge as I have wanted to race for a while now, but have not done it. About time eh?!

Challenge Issued!
