2023 was a huge success!
What an absolutely amazing weekend we had. Saturday kicked off with the kids ride, followed by the Bruce County Bash Saturday night featuring Canada’s own 54-40. Rounding out the weekend, over 750 cyclists took off from the start line exploring the scenery and lakeshore views followed by the after ride picnic and awards.
A tremendous thank you to the many volunteers, sponsors and riders who did a phenomenal job raising money for mental health this year. Your support and fundraising efforts saw $500,000 raised this weekend!

Gran Fondo Lake Huron

Join us for the million dollar ride this year!
Since its start in 2018 (no event in 2020 and a small virtual event in 2021 due to Covid) riders and sponsors in the Gran Fondo Lake Huron, presented by Bruce Power & Suppliers have raised over $843,000 and this year your fundraising will mean that you and all the other fundraising riders will have raised over $1 million dollars which goes to supporting healthcare and hospital needs for our local and regional hospitals. You’ve helped fund numerous life-saving items like defibrillators, crash carts and cardiac monitors, not to mention finishing off the CT scanner campaign last year with your fundraising.
When you register for the Gran Fondo Lake Huron you are signing up for a fundraising mission first and a bike ride second. 100% of rider raised dollars this year will go toward Grey Bruce Health Services new mental health and recovery centre that will serve residents across Bruce and Grey County. It’s easier than you think! Once you start sharing the link with friends, family and co-workers to your personal fundraising page that automatically generates in race roster when your register you’ll be well on your way to meeting or easily surpassing that fundraising goal.

Our Rides
New in 2023, we have 3 brand new courses being offered. Our new 1k Kid’s Ride will be held on Saturday with the main rides on Sunday, August 20th. We have also added a 10K Ride and an 80K Gravel Ride to our Rides.
To add a little more to our 2023 Rides, all of our routes are being done in reverse for a new ride experience!
Starting and finishing in beautiful Southampton, Ontario, the Gran Fondo Lake Huron welcomes cyclists of all levels, offering scenic rides.

Make it A Weekend
We have a great line up of events for the whole weekend starting off with our Kids Ride to out Bash Party on Saturday Night. Followed by our Rides on Sunday starting with the 110K Ride.
Kids Ride
Brand new for our 2023 Gran Fondo weekend we will be offering a 1km Kids Event for children. Participants will start at the parking lot at the Plex in Port Elgin and will follow the 1km route, making stops along the way, participating in fun activities and/or collecting take away items. – Learn More Here
Bruce County Bash
On Saturday, we are hosting the Bruce County Bash featuring 54.40 with special guest Tommy Youngsteen. Reserve your tickets now by purchasing online
Volunteer
We are going to have a great event and many hands will definitely make light work! For sign up, please click the registration button below. Once registered we will contact you when we are ready to assign you a job. We promise not to share it with anyone.
All our volunteers will receive a free t-shirt, lunch and a ticket for the After Ride Picnic and a great big THANK YOU!

Funds raised this year will go toward mental health initiatives including supplying learning and recreational resources for the pediatric mental health unit as well as the new wellness centre that will serve over 4600 people a year and help with the rapidly increasing rate of patients requiring mental health and addiction services across Bruce and Grey County.
