Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation Welcomes Acuren Nuclear as a Returning Silver Sponsor

Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that Acuren Nuclear Services (ANS) has once again joined the Gran Fondo Lake Huron team as a Silver Sponsor.

ANS has been providing Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) solutions and tooling innovations to support a long standing working relationship with Nuclear Power Stations in Canada including Bruce Power NPP and collaborations with fellow Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) companies.

Locally, Acuren Nuclear Services has had its HQ in Port Elgin since 2008.  “Healthy, vibrant and prospering communities are one of the foundations for successful businesses. Engagement with our neighbours, friends and colleagues through great events such as the Gran Fondo is important to our company and our employees” states Kevin Woit. “We believe that communities can only succeed by working together with local businesses and that’s what Acuren is committed to doing.”

Foundation Board Chair, Jim Barbour is glad to see organizations like Acuren returning to support this important Foundation Fundraiser once again. “We are very pleased that Acuren has returned as sponsor to the 2019 Gran Fondo Lake Huron. Their continued generous support of the work we do is very-much appreciated.”

Why Ride?

You ride because local healthcare matters to you and to the people you care about. Gran Fondo Lake Huron is about community stepping up to strengthen care close to home, ensuring our hospitals have the tools and technology needed to support patients when it matters most. Every kilometre you ride and every dollar you raise helps move healthcare forward across the Brightshores Health System region.

Over the years, this event has helped fund meaningful advancements in care, including a Mental Health and Wellness Recovery Centre, state of the art mammography equipment, MRI technology, and a CT Scanner. These investments reflect what happens when a community comes together with a shared commitment to better care.

When you ride, you are not just taking part in an event. You are helping ensure that high quality care is available for families, neighbours, and visitors, today and for years to come.
